This is an EMX port of the Concurrent Versions System (CVS)

Предполагается, что Вы в курсе, что такое EMX и с чем его готовят.

Итак, что хотим получить? CVS сервер работающий по pserver. Для этого:

  1. Читаем README.OS2 из архива cvs.
  2. Ставим, как сказано, но также имеем в виду что:
    • IMHO, для каждой отдельной группы програмеров нужен свой репозиторий т.е. 
      SET CVSROOT=d:/cvsroot1
cvs init
SET CVSROOT=d:/cvsroot2
cvs init
...

      и так далее... В local режиме.

    • Добавьте в %ETC%/inetd.lst строку

      cvspserver tcp cvs --allow-root=<репозиторий 1> --allow-root=<репозиторий N> pserver

      для pserver.

    • И для каждого репозитория повторяем пункт 2.

      Потом я перезапустил inetd.exe...

  3. При регистрации юзеров надо учитывать, что:
    • У нас не *NIX, и в файле CVSROOT\config надо написать SystemAuth=no
    • Юзеры имеющие право писать/читать добавляются в CVSROOT\writers. Юзеры имеющие право читать добавляются в CVSROOT\readers. Те, кто добавлены в оба файла есть ТОЛЬКО читатели. И те и другие должны быть в passwd.
    • Надо добавить в CVSROOT\checkoutlist, passwd, writers, readers.
  4. cvs commit

Вот и все. Надеюсь, эти краткие заметки помогут кому-нибудь и полуосов станет больше.
